Aspartame - the Unproven Health Hazard?

Nutrition 4 All

Health and Well-Being Newsletter

Eat Your Way to Better Health

September 2008

Last time I told you about work on my new Hair Mineral Analysis website, blaming that as the reason for the delayed newsletter. This time my delays have been due to work I've been doing on a revision of the Migraine ebook that I've provided content for, as part of a group of complementary therapists all with an interest in treating/preventing migraine and tension headaches.

While the ebook as a whole covers many approaches beyond nutrition, that was my area of expertise and it's an extensive upgrade of a previous ebook that many of you bought.

In my researches I was reminded of some worrying information I first became aware of while I was studying for my nutrition qualification and while I might have hoped things had changed in the intervening years it seems there has been no improvement.

Here's a question for you. Do you know what substance has been approved by the FDA, despite being suspected to contain a carcinogen and accounting for 75% of the complaints they receive, yet is still on supermarket shelves in about 6,000 products including many that children and adults alike consume frequently? Unless you are actively avoiding this substance already, there's a high chance you and your family are regular users.

Read a brief treatment both sides of the debate. The "cons" in this month's article and a link to a "no cause for concern" article, then make your own mind up. There's also a link to more extensive information.

Please feel free to forward this to any who may be interested, particularly anyone you know who suffers from migraine or headaches.
